Dragan and I did in fact make it to Willow Pass which is at about 12,600 ft. It was a long, hot walk. The final climb was steep and filled with loose rocks. It was cool and breezy at the pass. We decided this is as far as we would go. Walking down to the lake and back up again both wasn't appealing and we weren't sure we would make it back in time for the last bus back to Aspen (5pm).
